Singapore, 18 September 2009 – Cityneon Holdings Limited is awarded two contracts for building the Qatar and Indonesia pavilions at World Expo 2010 Shanghai. This is in addition to the Oman pavilion contract that had recently been clinched by the Company.
The sum of contract values for both pavilions is S$24 million.
Indonesia's pavilion at the World Expo will be the largest the country has ever built.
Occupying 4,000 square metres, it will offer visitors a glimpse of the country's diverse culture and lifestyle. And in keeping with the World Expo theme of "Better City, Better Life", the materials used are organic such as bamboo and timber, and can be re-used after the exhibition.
Qatar’s pavilion is a distinct reflection of its architectural, historical and cultural landscape.
Comprising 3 zones- showcasing the different themes of the rich natural wealth, treasury of knowledge and enriching the future, the visitors are led through a multi-sensory experience.
