The Pistorio Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland, founded in 2005 by Pasquale Pistorio, with the mission of improving the living conditions of under privileged children in developing countries.

Recently, the foundation held a charity dinner on the 3rd November 2009 and proceeds from the charity dinner will be used to support the construction of a new primary school in Thailand and the long-term education and health of hill-tribe children in Thailand and of children of dump scavengers in Cambodia.

Education is the most effective tool to break the cycle of poverty of these families and to prevent the often dire consequences of extreme poverty-malnutrition, disease, abuse, exploitation, violence, and risks of human trafficking.
